If you have a huge magazine stack collecting under the bed, there are many ways to finally get some use out of it. Try making quotations or maxims out of letters that you’ve cut from magazines in different sizes, colors and fonts. A simple way to get a cool retro feel is to cut out letters from the cover page, different ads, and article titles.
You can also look through old magazines for cute pictures and graphic designs to incorporate into collages, scrapbooks, or any other visual project. For my scrapbook background pages, I like to look for graphics in the fashion magazines. They truly follow a theme and don’t have too much writing on them. In case they happen to have some writing to show, the same can always be wrapped up in the garb of either a depiction or drawing pattern.
Use Search Engines to find Graphics: This is a really good idea when scrap-booking. When starting a scrapbook you can search online for ideas and themes such as "It’s a Girl" or "Baby Girl" By doing a little searching and looking around I was able to find materials to use and saved a lot.
To get the terms related to the project you are doing, Search for different search engines images tool. You’ll find plenty of results which you can print out and use in your projects. Since some may have copyright on these graphics for personal purposes suggested by me for you. This should not be an issue at all if they are employed only for your own personal crafts.
If you attend for a couple cents a sheet, you can print them out at your local library or school if you don’t have a printer. You’ll save tons of money over buying designs and stickers from an art supply store.
Most people do not know that you can make your own glue instead of buying it from the store. While working on your project, decide how much glue is necessary and mix flour and water in equal measures. Until it turns into a pasty substance keep mixing it.
Don’t make the glue until you are ready to use it because it will get moldy if left to sit. After it is used, it is good to left out to dry completely for paper projects.
You can always add glitter to your paint or glue for an added touch.
