If you have a huge magazine stack collecting under the bed, there are many ways to finally get some use out of it. Making sayings or quotes made out of cutting out different sized colored letters is my lovable technique. To get a cool retro feel, you can cut out letters from the cover page, different ads, and article titles and combine them all .
If you have any old magazines laying around you may find ideas or pictures and graphic designs to make a collage or scrapbook. For my scrapbook background pages, I like to look for graphics in the fashion magazines. They truly follow a theme and don’t have too much writing on them. Cut out a figure from a magazine and use it to hide any writing that shows.
A good thing to do is to use an internet search to find ideas for your scrapbook. When starting a scrapbook you can search online for ideas and themes such as "It’s a Girl" or "Baby Girl" I found a lot of cute stuff and saved!
Just search on different search engines images tool for terms related to the project you’re doing. Plenty of results which you can print out and use in your projects will be found by you. Copyright restrictions limit many items to personal use, so please use these graphics for non-business applications. This should not be an issue at all if they are employed only for your own personal crafts.
Your local library can be a good, low cost way to print these out if you don’t have a printer of your own at home. Finding graphics by using alternative sources is much less expensive than getting decals and stickers from hobby shops or art supply stores.
If you are running a bit low on glue, it’s a little-known fact that you can make some yourself! While working on your project, decide how much glue is necessary and mix flour and water in equal measures. A pasty substance is the ultimate goal; mix it up until it gets to this consistency.
This type of glue should be used right after you make it, as it will go moldy if left out and unused. This must be left to dry totally after it is used; it is very good to use for any kind of paper project.
For a nice touch, add glitter to your glue and use it as paint for decorating items in your scrapbook.
